Solar Cable— Manufacturer & Supplier
Solar cables (also called PV cables or photovoltaic cables) connect solar panels to inverters and combiner boxes in photovoltaic power systems. Unlike standard building wire, solar cables must survive 25+ years of continuous outdoor exposure — intense UV radiation, temperature cycling from -40°C to +90°C, moisture, and mechanical stress from wind-induced panel movement.
Our solar cables are manufactured to EN 50618 (European TUV standard) and IEC 62930, rated for 1500V DC systems which is now the global standard for utility-scale solar farms. The insulation and sheath are electron-beam cross-linked XLPO (cross-linked polyolefin) — halogen-free, UV-stabilized, and flame-retardant without the environmental concerns of PVC.
We supply solar cable to EPC contractors building utility-scale ground-mount projects, commercial rooftop installers, and solar equipment distributors. Available in single-core (PV1-F / H1Z2Z2-K) and twin-core flat configurations, with cross-sections from 2.5 mm² to 35 mm² covering everything from string wiring to DC main runs.

Solar Cable vs Standard Building Wire — Why PV Cable is Essential
| Feature | PV1-F / H1Z2Z2-K (Solar Cable) | Standard PVC Wire (BV/RV) |
|---|---|---|
| UV Resistance | 25+ years continuous outdoor UV exposure | Degrades within 2-3 years outdoors |
| Voltage Rating | 1,000V DC / 1,500V DC | 450/750V AC |
| Temperature Range | -40°C to +90°C (conductor: 120°C) | -15°C to +70°C |
| Insulation Material | Electron-beam cross-linked XLPO (halogen-free) | PVC (contains halogens) |
| Service Life | 25-30 years (matched to panel warranty) | 15-20 years (indoor use) |
| Conductor Type | Tinned copper, Class 5 flexible | Bare copper, Class 1/2 rigid or semi-rigid |
| Fire Behaviour | Self-extinguishing, halogen-free, low smoke | Flame retardant but releases HCl gas |
| Moisture Resistance | Double-layer sealed, submersible capable | Basic moisture resistance only |
| Certification | TUV 2Pfg 1169, EN 50618, IEC 62930 | IEC 60227 (not solar-rated) |
Using standard building wire in solar installations voids panel warranties and violates IEC 62548 (PV system design) requirements. Always use certified PV cable.
Application Scenarios
Utility-Scale Solar Farms
PV1-F 4 mm² and 6 mm² for string wiring between panels; 10-35 mm² for DC main cables from combiner boxes to central/string inverters. 1500V DC rated for modern high-voltage solar architectures.
Commercial Rooftop Installations
Single-core PV cable in red (+) and black (−) connecting rooftop panel strings to roof-mounted or ground-level inverters. UV and weather resistant for exposed roof routing without conduit.
Floating Solar (Floatovoltaics)
Solar cables with enhanced water resistance for floating PV installations on reservoirs, lakes, and industrial ponds. Double-insulated construction prevents moisture ingress over 25-year service life.
Solar Tracker Systems
Flexible solar cables accommodating daily panel rotation in single-axis and dual-axis tracker systems. Class 5 tinned copper conductor handles repeated flexing without conductor fatigue.
Why Source Solar Cable From Us
TUV-Certified Production
Our solar cables carry TUV certification per EN 50618 — the standard recognized by all major EPC contractors and required for grid-connected projects in Europe, Australia, and increasingly across Asia and Africa.
Electron-Beam Cross-Linking
We use electron-beam (E-beam) cross-linking for our XLPO insulation — a superior process that provides uniform cross-linking density throughout the insulation layer, ensuring consistent 25-year performance.
Bulk Supply for Large Projects
We regularly supply 500+ km of solar cable per project for utility-scale farms. Drums are marked with length, polarity color, and project identification. Logistics optimized for full container loads.
