PVC Insulated Flexible Control Cable

Flexible Control Cable (KVVR)

Flexible stranded control cable for installations requiring repeated bending or vibration resistance

KVVR flexible control cable uses Class 5 fine-stranded copper conductors to provide excellent flexibility for installations where cables must navigate tight bends, are subject to vibration, or require frequent repositioning. Ideal for connecting moving equipment, control panels with door-mounted instruments, and anywhere rigid cable cannot be practically installed. Rated 450/750V.

IEC 60227GB/T 9330BS 6500

Key features

  • Class 5 fine-stranded copper conductor for maximum flexibility

Frequently asked questions about Flexible Control Cable (KVVR)

Q.What makes KVVR different from standard KVV cable?

KVVR uses Class 5 fine-stranded conductors (many thin wires) compared to Class 1/2 solid or coarse-stranded conductors in standard KVV. This gives KVVR much greater flexibility and a smaller minimum bending radius, but at slightly higher cost per metre.

Q.Can KVVR cable be used in drag chains?

KVVR is suitable for moderate flexing applications. For continuous drag chain use with millions of flex cycles, dedicated drag chain cable with special jacket materials is recommended. Contact us for specific high-flex cable options.

Q.Is a shielded version available?

Yes. KVVRP adds braided copper shielding for EMI protection while maintaining flexibility. Ideal for instrumentation signals in electrically noisy industrial environments.

Q.What temperature range can KVVR operate in?

Standard PVC version: -15°C to +70°C. For colder environments or higher temperatures, we offer rubber-insulated (e.g., YCW) or silicone-insulated flexible cables.
